New Life Church operates The Tameside East Food Bank with 2 other local churches and in conjunction with the Trussell Trust. The volunteers are church members or live in the local community. The drop in at the New Life Centre is on Thursdays from 1-3pm. All clients need a voucher from a recognised agency to get food. Foodbank is run by local churches to help local people in crisis. The food given is for a period of 3 days. All the food is donated. If you would like to donate food, please bring non-perishable foods to the church on any weekday morning (9:30-12:30) or on a Thursday afternoon. The people of Tameside have given excellent support to the food bank since it started in December 2012.

Our vision is to help to meet the spiritual and social needs of the women at NLC and to have opportunities to meet others and invite friends. We aim to encourage women to be confident in themselves and who they are, to discover their God given purposes and dreams and to create/strengthen friendships. We do this running by running both social and Christian events. Through these we aim to forge new friendships, have fun, and learn about our identity in Christ via speakers or other sources. We are all about empowering women to have a voice, to feel worthy, and to see themselves through Gods eyes.
Keep an eye out on the website and Facebook page for upcoming WW events, we look forward to meeting you.

MM is a collection of men whose common thread is the Lordship of Jesus Christ in their lives. We believe there is a place for Men in the Body of Christ and when it is found marital relations, families and the Church are all blessed. We believe in being real with the challenges we face as individuals in our Christian walk and growing in Christ. Finally it is also a gathering of friends and non-Christians are most welcome. MM run several breakfast events throughout the year, where a hearty English breakfast and good teaching can be found.

Our aim is to build up a team of people who are committed to God and seek to use their gifts and talents in the area of musical worship. To bring excellence in musical worship to God, being free to be creative, in order to inspire the congregation to join in and worship Him too. To achieve this we will continue to look at improving ourselves by our own personal study of Gods word, seeking His wisdom in prayer and looking for practical ways to improve our given talent/gifting. As part of this ministry members are expected to be team players but to also be in relationship with one another in the team as well as the wider church. Seek to share life, show love, stay connected.
"If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care - then do me a favour: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don’t push your way to the front; don’t sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.” (Philippians 2 v 2-4)
We are a group of people who love being together and love bringing songs to God. Our music style varies between Hillsong, Bethel and Chris Tomlin, with the odd golden oldie thrown in from the 90s. It is a good mix of praise and worship as the Spirit leads. We believe in what I call the 4 Cs:
1. Commitment (to the church, to each other and God)
2. Calling (a call from God and gifting in this area)
3. Character (a heart of worship and servant hood and a lifestyle working with God)
4. Chemistry (with the team and in the direction we are going).

The age of the children is usually around 9/12 months when they are able to crawl, up until 3 years old. The children enjoy playing with a variety of toys, puzzles, books and joining in singing time. We also have access to a projector which allows us to play episodes of favourite cartoons or baby praise DVDs. The church provides a free small snack for the children during their time in the group.

The members of NLC are all part of various smaller groups that meet in people’s houses most weeks. The aims of house groups are to learn more about our faith through bible studies and other forms of study. Another key part of the house groups is to create fellowship and to get to know one another.
House groups meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays at various locations. If you would like to join a house group, please speak with Ken Leech.
